Contrast screenshots and artwork look pretty sweet

Contrast Artwork #1Compulsion Games’ platformer Contrast has gotten a little more familiar with the release of screenshots and artwork.

In Contrast, users take up the story of Dawn, an imaginary friend of Didi’s, as she assists her in “reuniting her parents as she uncovers truths and drama.” Also, Laura Ellis features in the game’s amazing jazz-based soundtrack.

Contrast will reach the PSN later this year.

Dead Space 3 screens re-indtroduce horror to the series

Dead Space 3New screens have arrived for Dead Space 3, and it looks like the series will be going back to its horror-based roots, instead of the more action type game we saw in Dead Space 2. After EA revealed Dead Space 3 in June at E3, people were disappointed by how action-based it looked, but these screens attempt to show otherwise. Dead Space 3 is set for a February 2013 release on PS3, PC and 360. Catch the screenshots over at VG24/7.

Scourge: Outbreak spreading to the PSN ‘soon’

Scourge: Outbreak (screenshot)Scourge: Outbreak, a new third-person shooter from Tragnarion Studios, was showcased today at PS Blog EU with a batch of screenshots and word that the game will be coming to the PSN ‘soon.’ Lead Game Designer Omar Sallah discussed the game, talking about the screens and co-op details:

“We’re especially keen to see players get a kick out of the co-op narrative style that we’ve developed, whereby each of the game’s four playable characters experiences their own unique flashbacks throughout the game.

These memories are designed to fit together as a kind of jig-saw puzzle, so the best way to get the full picture is to discuss them with your buddies. Some show dubious details about yourself, while others cast doubt on your squad-mates.

Who’s the real enemy? What’s going on? What did you see? Don’t worry… single-player is a complete experience in and of itself, but co-op is where this style of narrative really shines.”
