Capcom announced at gamescom their new in-the-works IP called Remember Me (shown at last year’s gamescom as ADRIFT), a futuristic action title. The game is in development at France-based Dontnod Entertainment, who’ve got a staff consisting of greats such as former head of developer relations at Criterion Games Oskar Guilbert, science fiction writer Alain Damasio, and art director Aleksi Briclot, who worked on Wizards of the Coats.
Set in the year 2084 in Neo-Paris, France, the game centers around the selling and purchasing of memories, blending melee combat and platform sequences that may remind some of Uncharted 3. Players will play as former elite memory hunter Nilin, who can break into people’s minds and steal or alter their memories. But after being arrested and having her memory erased, she must go on a journey to restore her identity. The game is due for a May 2013 release on the PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
