EA may bring Cross Buy to Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Need for Speed: Most WantedIn an interview with IGN, an EA spokesperson said that they are considering bringing the Cross Buy program, announced by Sony today, to Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

“We’re taking it under consideration, but we have no specific plans to announce at this time.”

EA didn’t provide any further comment, but since the EA spokesperson didn’t reject the idea, it seems that the publisher may be considering taking advantage of the Cross Buy program, which gives those who purchase the PS3 version of an eligible game the Vita counterpart for free. The Cross Buy program is incredibly beneficial to the struggling handheld, and hopefully it’ll help to bolster system sales later this year as more developers support Cross Buy in their games.

So far, the only games confirmed for Cross Buy are PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault.
