Bethesda has announced that the much-needed Skyrim 1.7 patch will be coming to the PS3 in “the coming weeks,” which will include mounted combat, new kill cams, and other new features.
However there has been no word on the PS3 version of Dawnguard, whose period of exclusivity with the 360 just ended. Bethesda’s VP of marketing Pete Hines stated in a tweet that “We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news. If we have news, I promise I’d tell you.” He then followed up with another, stating “I was simply stating that expecting/demanding something today is unfounded. Not that news is never coming.” So for now it still looks like Dawnguard will be hitting the PS3 soon, but PS3 users will still have to wait for it.
